You may ask why we only sell honey and not all of the bee products. We believe that bees health suffers if pollen, bee bread, royal jelly, propolis and bee venom are taken away from them. The bee health is our main priority and we will never compromise it. We only harvest honey above food safety levels per beehive. Our bees are happy as they never lack the essentials they make or gather for themselves. You can be assured that by purchasing honey from our company you are supporting bees wellbeing.

Our Honey
You will never taste two identical types of honey offered by our company. It is because we extract each batch of honey per apiary. We do not blend it or mix it with other honey types and source it only from our beehives.
Our honey is the outcome of how nature works. We follow the seasons and offer unchanged product from the specific honey flow that existed at particular time of the year. The way the nature designed it.
Back to basics
At Raglan the honey extraction process has no impact on the quality of the finished product. The method we have implemented delivers the product that contains the complete goodness made by the bees. We conduct manual extraction, never heat the honey and do not use high pressure filters at any point in the process. The honey filtering is executed through standard sieves. It takes a long time so you can call it ‘cold pressed’ honey. It is identical to what you find in the beehive or even in a tree hollow. You can be assured that you receive best quality possible.
Honey Producer
Our honey producer is a honey bee. A tiny living insect. It has lived on the planet Earth for more than 120 million years and experienced what we, humans have not dreamed of. It has contributed to the life that we can live. It breathes, feels, freely flies, pollinates and most of all it has a right to be here. It supports the mother nature and our everyday life. As all of us, it wants to survive and enjoy the very short moment which was given to it.
The evolving world and industrial expansion has pushed these hard working insects to the brink of collapse. In many cases it has simply rejected to live. While we all enjoy its products as a humans we have forgotten to provide it with the priceless gift – a respect.
Its about time to change it.
Story
Our story began when our two grandfathers established separate apiaries back in 1956. They shared the same passion which was passed to next generations. Our father further expanded the operations including queen rearing. We have decided to continue a family tradition and follow a passion. We support what we believe is a great initiative – to respond to nature.
We are not profit driven organization. Raglan strives to provide safe environment for the bees to thrive on. Our goal is to gradually expand healthy colonies and support the nature through our working ethics and core values. We believe that our work with bees helps to reverse a decline of honey bee population and provide the nature with the pollination boost.
